2025 Lyon Air Museum

2025 VISIT TO THE LYON AIR MUSEUM IN SANTA ANA.

March 29th 2025 took us to one of the nicest and immaculate Air Museum

Last Saturday, March 29th, about 20 members of the club gathered at 10 a.m. at the gate of the Lyon Air Museum in Santa Ana. The theme for this month’s outing was planes, cars, and motorcycles, and we were not disappointed. The Lyon Air Museum was founded by Major General William Lyon in 2009. It is located on the west side of John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana, along the runways. The large windows of the building offer a first-class view of planes taking off and landing throughout your visit. Another factor that adds to the charm of the museum is the sound of the plane traffic, which perfectly immerses you in the world of aviation. The Lyon Air Museum is a large, immaculate building located at the end of a short driveway. Everything is spotless – from the landscape to the building, from the floors to the aircraft and the many classic cars on display. As stated on their website: “The exhibit is comprised of authentic aircraft, rare vehicles, and related memorabilia, with an emphasis on the defining events of the 20th century—World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Through captivating and thought provoking exhibits based on historical scholarship, visitors gain a better understanding of the important role the United States played in shaping world history.”
