Good afternoon fellow board members,
Some of you may have already heard that in fact, the Zone Show scheduled for the weekend of May 17-19 has been officially cancelled due to extensive renovation / construction taking place at the host hotel that will not be done in time for our event.
After much discussion with the hotel management, it was obvious to us (and them) that our event could not be conducted in the typical manner we expect or were promised when the contract was originally signed back in November of last year.
To remedy this, the event committee agreed with the hotel that cancelling this month’s event and rescheduling it would be the best option available given the short amount of time we had to consider this.
The hotel has agreed to give us the dates of September 27, 28, and 29 as a replacement with all fees remaining the same and some added perks thrown in for the inconvenience.
We felt this was the best option so that all the club members interested in attending this special event would not miss out and have to wait until next year.
If you field any phone calls or emails from members inquiring about this, please feel free to send them to myself, Karon, or Larry Ewing for clarification or if they have read the email we have sent them, please see if you can confirm if they want to roll over their registration to the new dates and then let us know their decision so we can make note of that or arrange for a refund.
